Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (Ref: 201800454) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess an M.Phil. degree or a Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences, or a biomedical-related discipline, with at least 1 year’s relevant work experience in clinical genetics. They should be highly motivated, detail-minded, and able to work independently. Hands-on experience in primary cell culture, DNA library preparation for next generation sequencing, and molecular biology laboratory techniques (e.g. performing PCR, Western blot etc.) would be an advantage. The appointee will assist in clinical research studies related to medical genetics under the supervision of Dr. Brian Chung. He/She will work on research projects, carry out data collection and analysis, and assist in patient database maintenance.
