Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Public Health, to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree with a very strong background in biostatistics, infectious disease epidemiology, statistical inference, statistical simulation and programming. They should also have excellent communication skills, teaching and knowledge sharing experience, a strong record of research productivity, and the ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team. Applicants with more than two years of experience in infectious disease research and statistical modelling will be considered favourably.  The appointee will focus on modelling influenza transmission dynamics in households and in the community, and study designs for monitoring vaccine effectiveness.  Information about the School can be obtained at http://sph.hku.hk/index.php.
