We are seeking applications for two Post-doctoral Fellow positions in the Department of Mathematics (Ref.: 523076), to commence in the fall semester of 2024. The positions are for two years with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
One position is in the area of Geometric Representation Theory or Arithmetic Geometry. The other position is in the area of AI for (pure) Math, with strong background in AI and strong interest in pure math.
Applicants for both positions should possess a Ph.D. degree, with a strong research track record in their respective areas of expertise. They should demonstrate the ability to conduct independent research, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively in a team environment. An excellent command of written and spoken English is required. The appointees will work in the research group under the supervision of Prof. Xuhua He. The teaching load of these appointments is light, with one course each academic year. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
