Part-time Senior Research Assistant in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 523815)
(to commence as soon as possible for 6-12 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Doctoral degree in English language education, or a related field. They should have fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese); good knowledge of linguistic and cultural diversity, multimodality, multiliteracies, digital literacy; good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; a strong sense of responsibility; and the ability to work independently and as a team. Expertise in qualitative data analysis, and multimodal interaction analysis are advantages. Current PhD students or Master’s graduates, with 1 year's relevant post-qualification experience and good academic performance are also welcome to apply.
The appointee will work on the project in relation to using digital video production to promote collaboration between ethnic minority and local majority students studying English as a second/foreign language. He/She will conduct interviews with participants, attend classroom observations, implement intervention programmes, and perform transcription, data entry and analysis, writing up.
