Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 516104) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in the field of health and health services. They should have strong leadership, management, communication and interpersonal skills; an excellent command of written English; and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment. Experience in large-scale research project management and development, knowledge of statistics and big data analysis would be highly desirable. The appointee will mainly be responsible for the implementation of a 5-year large-scale project on the evaluation of spill-over impact of COVID-19 on health and healthcare of patients with non-communicable diseases, and will work closely with core project team members and partners from healthcare sectors. He/She is expected to assist in planning and coordinating the research project; evaluate territory-wide programmes; oversee data collection and analysis; prepare reports and presentations; supervise research assistants; and perform other relevant tasks as assigned. There will be ample opportunities to work with research and health professionals to develop a research career in health and health services.
