The holder of the position will represent the field of Biophysics in research and teaching. Her/His research should integrate well with and complement the interdisciplinary research at the BIOTEC and the wider Dresden research campus (particularly the Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD), the Center for Molecular Bioengineering (B CUBE),  the cluster of excellence „Physics of Life“ (PoL), the School of Science and non-university research groups at  the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG) as well as the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems (MPI-PKS).) Cooperation with the local biotechnology industry is desirable. The successful applicant will actively engage in the teaching program hosted by the CMCB, including the international Masters’ programmes in “Molecular Bioengineering”, “Nanobiophysics”, “Regenerative Biology and Medicine” and “Computational Modelling and Simulation”, in the teaching programmes of the Faculty of Physics, and in the Dresden International Graduate School for Biomedicine and Bioengineering (DIGS-BB). It is expected that the candidate will participate in academic selfadministration.

We are seeking outstanding applicants with an international scientific reputation in the field of Biophysics.
