Position Summary: 
JSLH is looking for an economist with interest in Development Economics, Public Economics or Indian Economics with focus on empirics. The candidate should have completed doctorate in Economics or related disciplines.  The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of applied mathematics and statistics that can be useful for a broad range of social sciences areas. Apart from teaching quantitative skills courses, the candidate will also be expected to offer some elective(s) in Economics. Teaching experience will be an advantage. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses, conduct research, mentor students and engage in school and university level activities.

We are interested in candidates who have demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and scholarship, commitment to undergraduate education, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues.

The successful candidate will value collegiality and service to their department/institution along with the demonstrated capacity to teach undergraduate courses. Qualification & Experience: 
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Economics
- Ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement
