We seek to appoint a high calibre individual with an excellent international reputation to the Department of Sport, Exercise & Rehabilitation in an area of Physiotherapy or Rehabilitation Sciences. You will drive and enhance the best quality research, teaching and entrepreneurial activities and actively encourage this amongst colleagues. The department has particular strengths in chronic pain and motor dysfunctions (e.g. Parkinson's Disease), biomechanics and rehabilitation of low back pain, lower limb injury, falls prevention and exercise interventions for long-term conditions, including COPD and cancer survivorship. While candidates with expertise in these areas of research are encouraged to apply, the department will consider high quality applicants in any area of research. 

You must hold a first degree and be qualified to Doctoral level in a relevant discipline and have leading subject expertise in Physiotherapy or Rehabilitation Sciences, with specialist knowledge gained through research activity, professional practice or consultancy. Proven ability to deliver high quality research led teaching within an appropriate field and a publication profile commensurate with the post of Professor/Associate Professor are essential. Membership (or eligibility for membership) of a relevant professional body is desirable.
