Salary: Senior Lecturer – £39,324 – £48,327; Lecturer – £33,943 – £38,183

Working within the award winning Law School, which has an excellent reputation both for research and for learning and teaching, you will join a team of highly qualified academics with a passion for enhancing the student experience.

The successful candidate will contribute to research informed learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You must have significant criminal or civil litigation experience as a practising solicitor in England and Wales and be able to teach criminal or civil litigation on the Legal Practice Course. You must have or immediately be able to obtain a current practising certificate and have the ability to supervise students in our award winning Student Law Office. You will also undertake research, enterprise and scholarly activities contributing to the Faculty’s research profile.

You must be a qualified solicitor with significant experience of legal practice, possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to teach effectively on a range of programmes using a variety of approaches to student learning.   A PhD qualification is desirable, however professionally qualified applicants with a research profile who are not currently completing a course of doctoral studies, will be supported to enrol on an appropriate doctoral programme and fully engage with a programme of relevant legal research.
