Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University announces an open competition for the position Assistant professor 

For: Department of Film Studies and Audiovisual Culture            

Specialization: History of Czech and World Cinema

What we expect from you:

  • Master’s degree in the field of film theory and history, television or audiovisual culture
  • Completed doctoral education (Ph.D.) in the field or submitted doctoral thesis and specified term of its defense
  • University teaching practice in a minimum of six semesters
  • Experience with supervision of at least ten final papers
  • At least eight professional publication or conference outputs, at least two of which are in a foreign language or on the international scene; also, instead of four outputs, a published monograph can be submitted
  • Knowledge of English at least at the C1 level
