We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated researcher to join a pioneering clinical research study to investigate the pharmacological treatment trajectory and clinical outcomes of people with psychotic disorders using the Clinical Record Interactive Search system (CRIS), a state-of-the-art electronic health record (EHR) data extraction and analysis tool. The findings from this study will inform future NHS healthcare service policy and clinical guidelines to reduce relapse rates among people with psychotic disorders.

The study is led by Dr Rashmi Patel (https://www.kcl.ac.uk/people/dr-rashmi-patel) and will be conducted in collaboration with the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at the South London and Maudsely NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) (https://www.maudsleybrc.nihr.ac.uk/facilities/clinical-record-interactive-search-cris).

The appointee will have the unique opportunity to develop skills in mental health EHR data analytics and pharmacoepidemiology using state-of-the-art clinical informatics methods developed by the NIHR Maudsley BRC and the Centre for Translational Informatics (CTI). They will also receive training in EHR data extraction and analysis and be expected to contribute to writing research reports for publication in peer-reviewed journals and at international conferences. They will join a highly productive research department with the opportunity to attend training courses in EHR data analysis/statistical methods as well as seminars in psychosis research. The role will be based at the main IoPPN building and the BRC Nucleus (Mapother House) in the Denmark Hill campus of KCL/SLaM.
