King's has set itself an ambitious strategy for the future, brought together in Vision 2029. A key element of this is to strengthen professional services. Consequently, our approach to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) at King's has changed and is developing - including the creation of a new Partnerships & Projects (P&P) Team that the Project Coordinator will be part of.

Led and managed by the EDI Manager, the P&P Team is comprised of EDI practitioners with varied levels of responsibility and professional experience: the Project Coordinator, three Project Officers and three Project Interns. Each member of the team has a mixed portfolio spanning the breadth of King's EDI work, focusing primarily on the delivery of EDI projects. The team work in close, dynamic partnership with academic faculties and professional services functions to further King's D&I goals on a local level.

The Project Coordinator will bring strong EDI expertise and project management credentials to the team, and will work independently to deliver complex projects and services. The successful candidate will spend a proportion of their time embedded in an academic faculty to deliver local EDI objectives. The remainder of their time will be spent working as part of the wider EDI sub-function, managing and leading the delivery of university-wide EDI activity. This configuration provides an excellent opportunity for the Project Coordinator to lead a variety of impactful EDI projects at both a macro and micro level, across a devolved organisation, for the benefit of both students and staff. As a senior member of the Partnerships & Projects Team, the Project Coordinator will deputise for the EDI Manager in their absence.

The Project Coordinator role requires demonstrable experience in terms of working in a flexible and agile manner under pressure in ambiguous circumstances. The role will be based across all of King's London campuses (Strand, Waterloo, Guy's, and Denmark Hill); the successful candidate must be willing to travel between sites as required.
