Partnerships Manager

Department : Entrepreneurship

The Partnership Manager will be responsible for creating a strategy in relation to these new external connections and then delivering this. This will be done in close collaboration with colleague at the Entrepreneurship Institute who will input into the forming of a partnership strategy, and with colleagues in the Fundraising team. Specifically, the post-holder will lead the development and delivery of:

i. A community of investors who will invest in King's entrepreneurs, will form the audience at demo events, will occasionally deliver master-classes on investment, will mentor entrepreneurs as they begin funding rounds etc. This community of investors will need to be evolved and managed each year ensuring that investor needs are met along with those of the Entrepreneurship Institute

ii. Sponsors who will use their resources to support entrepreneurship at King's

iii. A relevantly skilled community who will be prepared to deliver master-classes, who will act as Experts in Residence, who will become expert mentors etc.

iv. A community whose members, on occasion, can be placed by the Partnership Manager to speak at events, to appear on the curriculum as guest speakers etc.

v. A group of collaborators and partners who might include other universities, local authorities, government etc.

vi. A network that is strong in London, nationally and internationally.

The Entrepreneurship Institute supports entrepreneurial thinking, skills and experiences amongst King's students, staff and alumni. We support people to have careers as entrepreneurs and start up innovative new businesses and social enterprises, but also to be innovative in their chosen career.

The post is indefinite.

This is a part-time post - 50% full time equivalent

The selection process will include a panel interview, an assessment and a presentation.

Grade and Salary : Grade 6, £38,434 per annum pro rata inclusive of the £3,223 London Allowance pro rata, at 0.5 FTE (17.5 hours per week)
