CENTRE FOR HOLISTIC TEACHING AND LEARNING (CHTL) 

The CHTL works in partnership with academic colleagues to foster continuous quality learning and teaching at HKBU. It aims to reinforce the student-centred, whole-person and outcome-oriented ethos of learning and teaching in the University. Within its remits, the CHTL plays an active role in supporting Teaching Development Grants (TDG) projects, Community of Practice (CoP) initiatives, special projects on teaching and learning innovations, as well as assists the University in evidence collection for Whole Person Education through assessment of students' attainment of the University's Graduate Attributes.

Project Officer / Assistant Project Officer (PR0025/18-19) 

The appointee will mainly assist the Assessment Team in (a) conducting and coordinating data collection activities in various scales; (b) supporting subsequent data compilations, analyses and reports/papers writing; (c) managing data from different projects/sources; (d) designing and adopting different research methodologies (both quantitative and qualitative); and (e) supporting other assessment activities as well as other activities of the Centre.

Applicants should have a good first degree or above in an appropriate subject discipline (preferably in Statistics / Mathematics / Operations Management), and those with two years of relevant work experience after graduation are preferred. Candidates with proven track record of handling large data sets, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, high proficiency with MS Excel and competence in using statistical analysis software packages such as SPSS would be advantages. The suitable appointee should be proactive, well-organised, detail-minded and have a strong sense of responsibility. Applicants with less qualification or experience will be considered for the post of Project Assistant.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of up to two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
