Role
We have two exciting lecturing opportunities for a paramedic or nursing/ allied health professional with emergency care experience, to join our academic team. We presently have a Full Time (1WTE) and a Part Time ( 0.6 WTE) opportunity and welcome applicants seeking a seconded opportunity. Post holders will support the delivery of paramedic, urgent, emergency and unscheduled care education to student paramedics as well as other undergraduate and post registration health professionals. The successful candidate will join a team of enthusiastic, committed and friendly staff and will work collaboratively with colleagues across the School, Faculty and the wider University. 

Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an individual who wishes to develop a career in teaching and learning. You will have experience of sharing your knowledge effectively with learners, through your own passion and commitment to teaching and
high-quality service delivery. You will be a practitioner registered with the
HCPC or the NMC with experience in the field of emergency care or
paramedicine.

You will be required to undertake teaching at undergraduate level to students
from a wide range of backgrounds. You will contribute to the assessment
process for students including the setting, marking and moderation of student work, individually or collectively as part of a module team in accordance with quality assurance processes. You will be required to design and develop innovative and engaging learning materials and assessments and participate fully in curriculum development, including personal knowledge and expertise in high standards for paramedicine and emergency care. You will be expected to work collaboratively with clinical colleagues and other stakeholders. You will support students, supervisors and assessors in clinical placements and across a variety of care settings. You will actively engage in scholarship, research and professional / external income generation activities in ways that contribute to the University / School’s objectives and contribute to ensuring up-to-date, leading edge teaching.
