United International College (UIC), located in Zhuhai, PRC and founded jointly by Beijing Normal University and Hong Kong Baptist University, is the first full-scale collaboration between academic institutions from both mainland China and Hong Kong. UIC now invites applications for the following professorial positions which are expected to be filled in September 2022.

Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in MA in Communication Studies (Ref: GS211002) 

Candidates with teaching interest and key research strength in the following subject areas: Communication Studies, Media and Communication, Big Data Analytics for Media and Communication, strategic Public Relations and Crisis Management, International Advertising, Communication Technologies and Media Organization, Cooperate Communication, Media Law and Ethics.

Job Requirement

All applicants should hold a PhD degree with solid track record in research in a related discipline. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in postgraduate teaching (Chinese as the Medium of Instruction). Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable ability to undertake independent research leading to outcomes with a strong impact, such as publication in high quality, internationally recognized, indexed journals and scholarly presses. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.

Appointment Terms and Benefits

Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Commencing salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave and social insurance. Continuation of appointment beyond the initial term will be subject to mutual agreement.
