Dr Jill Harrison’s group in the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Bristol invites applications for a three-year post-doctoral research associate position funded by The Leverhulme Trust.
This exciting opening aims to identify genes that were responsible for the evolutionary origin of branching in land plants. The successful applicant will use a range of molecular, developmental and genetic approaches to analyse candidate genes functions in an ancient land plant group, the lycophytes.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of developmental genetics, a PhD and degree in relevant subject areas and an excellent track record commensurate with career stage.

For informal enquiries please contact Dr Jill Harrison (jill.harrison@bristol.ac.uk).

The University is committed to creating and sustaining a fully inclusive culture. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities.
