Applicants are invited for the post of Postgraduate Research Associate in Single-cell Imaging Data Analysis. The post-holder will develop and apply computational methods for the analysis of data from single-cell imaging assays, including single-molecule fluorescent in situ hybridization (smFISH) and MS2-based live imaging technologies targeting transcription and translation at single-cell resolution. The post-holder will join a team of computational, mathematical and experimental biologists funded by two Wellcome Trust programmes investigating spatial patterns and temporal processes with single-cell resolution in a range of model systems. The post is tenable from September 1st 2018 for 24 months.

The successful applicant will have a PhD(or equivalent) with a significant computational and/or statistical element and experience of image data analysis, statistical inference and scientific programming. A strong interest in cell biology is essential. The candidate should also have a good scientific publication record given career stage and be self-motivated, hard-working and able to work in a team.
