Senior Lecturer in Pyschotherapy & Counselling
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior Lecturer to undertake Course Leader duties within our Counselling and Psychotherapy provision at the Preston campus. Your role will be to contribute to the activities of the School and University in teaching, learning, assessment, research and income generation.
The successful applicant will be a qualified and experienced counsellor/psychotherapist and will assist in the development and delivery of the undergraduate and post graduate provision for the School. Qualifications and experience in Person centred, Psychodynamic counselling/psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy are welcomed, as teaching will be required in all approaches at an introductory level.
Extensive, contemporary practice experience as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist in the UK is essential and the successful applicant will have a keen interest and knowledge in developments in the field of counselling and psychological therapies.
Applicants will also have previous experience of teaching counselling/psychotherapy and course leadership in higher education setting as well as curriculum development experience in a university setting.
