Lecturer - School of Biological Sciences
Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the School of Biological Sciences, to commence on January 15, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Food Science and/or Nutrition, with at least one to three years’ teaching experience. They should have solid knowledge of nutritional biochemistry, human physiology, public health nutrition and nutritional science. Registered dietitian credentials (or equivalent) would be an asset. Experience in teaching and course coordination in tertiary settings is highly desirable. The appointee will teach food and nutritional sciences courses for undergraduate programmes, assist in the coordination and supervision of related laboratory courses; and undertake departmental administrative duties including coordination of capstone courses.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
