Research Specialist A:
The primary function of this position is to support and conduct mouse-related experiments for the Luo Laboratory. These experiments typically involve mouse crossing, tissue harvest, behavioral tasks, virus injection, recombinant DNA, data analysis, etc. In addition, this person will also help with lab management and organization, such as lab reagent storage, shipment, etc.
Research Specialist B:
In addition to the duties outlined above, at least 1 year experience, and ability to independently perform mouse crossing, tissue harvest, behavioral tasks, virus injection, recombinant DNA.
Research Specialist A: Bachelor’s Degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. A degree in Biology or related areas preferred.
Research Specialist B: Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year to 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. A degree in Biology or related areas preferred.
Both: The candidate should be highly motivated, responsible, well-organized, a good team-worker, and have multitasking skills. Some previous lab experiences are desirable. Stong communication skills necessary.
