The Boysen - TU Dresden - Research Training Group for Young Researchers from the Engineering, Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, co-financed by the Friedrich and Elisabeth Boysen Foundation and Technische Universität Dresden, offers, subject to resources being available, 16 doctoral scholarships for a period of three years starting on 1st January 2019. The interdisciplinary Research Training Group Mobility in flux - Challenges and solutions for technology, environment and society consists of four Clusters.

Cluster C:

Electric mobility and autonomous driving: Perspectives for providers, users and media

Disciplines involved: Business Management; Communication Science; Traffic Psychology; Electrical Engineering; Environmental Economics

The range of possible mobility innovations is diverse. The much-cited flux is very complicated due to a multitude of alternative technical solutions and behavioural preferences. In addition, media coverage and new business models make the assessment of mobility innovations reflexive and complex. The aim of the cluster is to approach the conflicting objectives of these different systems and to consider them by means of an interdisciplinary joint analysis of evaluation practices. The cluster consists of five sub-projects:

SP C1:    Mobility on the way to the 22nd century: Development of mobility scenarios
and integration of electric vehicles into the electricity system

SP C2:    Scenarios for electro mobility and autonomous driving in the judgement of
public opinion and the media

SP C3:    Analysis of behavioural adaptations of users in new mobility concepts

SP C4:    Methods for evaluating the electrical energy supply with special
consideration of new mobility concepts

SP C5:    Sustainability assessment of new business models for mobility concepts on the way into the 22nd century
