Lab Research Analyst II
The department of Biochemistry is looking for a self-starter to support research in structural biochemistry at Duke Medical School. Projects are directed towards understanding processes underlying neurodegenerative diseases and cancer and towards therapeutic development. The job requires purification and characterization of proteins using FPLC and HPLC columm chromatography. Knowledge of basic molecular biology techniques (PCR, site directed mutagenesis) is desirable. Good record keeping and communication skills are required.
A bachelor's degree in Biochemistry or other directly related scientific field is highly preferred.
Requires four years of research experience. A related master's degree may substitute for two years of the required experience.
