Associate Professor in Mechanics
To qualify for an appointment as Associate Professor the applicant must have completed a PhD in applied mathematical sciences/mechanics, physics or an equivalent field.
In the assessment of the applicant, the main emphasis will be placed on the documented scientific qualifications including relevant scientific work. The scientific potential of the candidate, as shown by his/her publications as well as the research plan, collaborative skills, international network, pedagogical qualifications and experience, outreach activities and the ability to create a good working environment will be valued.
A research statements where the candidate puts focus on the scientific novelty of their work, approaches and plans, as well as potential synergies and collaborations within the Section for Mechanics will be positively evaluated. The search committee will evaluate the candidates’ scientific work with emphasis on the production during the last five years.
