Our lab focuses on the study of neurodegeneration in large animal models (dog and cat) of naturally occurring brain disease. We are looking for a research specialist capable of performing the preparation of tissue for histologic and immunohistochemical study and analyses. The applicant would be responsible as well for general lab maintenance. Will also be responsible for aliquoting and logging all samples associated with the Referral Center for Animal Models. Finally, the applicant would be responsible for PCR to identify affected animals in our colony.

A Bachelor’s Degree or higher. Experience in tissue handling for biochemical and histological evaluations. Must have excellent organizational skills. 0 – 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
