The Mid-Career Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership is an executive-model program for mid-level and senior educational leaders. This position has responsibility for the day-to-day logistics of running the program, under limited supervision of the director and under direct supervision of the assistant director. Responsibilities also include assisting the director with the recruitment, admissions, and enrollment of this select group. The person will also have primary responsibility for all student affairs and student life functions in the program, provide technical and process support for regular and part-time faculty, and coordinate with other members of the program team in support of various program network initiatives, such as PELS, RILE, visitor events/meetings, network events, etc. Some travel for recruitment and network support involved. The position will also provide some direct support to the Director for travel and scheduling. Finally, the role involves operational responsibilities including reviewing budget, preparing and processing purchase requests, and working with various internal and external vendors, including those that provide classroom space, meals, and student housing.

Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years to 5 years of experience is strongly preferred.

HS diploma and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Ability to work closely and effectively in varied professional capacities with a select diverse group of mid- and senior-level educational leaders, regular and part-time faculty, and staff in various operational areas (admissions, facilities, financial aid, registrar, billing, etc.) from Penn GSE and from across the University. A strong positive customer/client service orientation is essential. Background in admissions and student affairs; knowledge of K-12; social media competency; fluency in Spanish; and willingness to learn new software applications strongly preferred.
