The Department of Economics – Home of the Fraser of Allander Institute – is one of six Departments within the triple accredited Strathclyde Business School, which offers a dynamic and varied programme of specialist and cross-disciplinary courses.  Our vision is to make a positive difference to the lives of our students, to society and to the world.

The Department is seeking a Senior Teaching Fellow to support the delivery of its suite of undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education programmes.

This is an exciting new role in the Department following significant new investment to create a leading centre on applied, policy-relevant economics.

This new Senior Teaching Fellow is a key element of this strategy. The post holder will not only deliver excellence on existing programmes but lead on the development of new initiatives including the expansion of the department’s new highly successful CPD courses for business, industry and government; the roll-out of innovative teaching programmes (including distance and flexible learning pathways); expanded executive education activities (including the Strathclyde MBA) and the development and delivery of new teaching practices and innovations.

Applicants are required to complete an application form including the name of three referees who will be contacted before interview without further permission, unless you indicate that you would prefer otherwise. Applicants should also submit a Curriculum Vitae and a covering letter detailing the knowledge, skills and experience you think make you the right candidate for the job. Applicants should also complete the Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form.
