Library Customer Services Assistant
The University of Surrey has a vacancy for two part time Library Customer Services Assistants with relevant library experience to work in our busy front of house Customer Services team.
Library Customer Services Assistants support students, staff and visitors to access resources for academic study, delivering information and answering queries about lending and access to collections. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent customer service skills who is able to deal with multiple enquiries at our busy Support Hub and also support users in the polite enforcement of rules and regulations as part of our roving enquiry service. Good interpersonal skills and cultural awareness and an ability to manage your own work load are essential. You will also be an experienced and proficient user of general office IT applications.
The roles are part time (0.5FTE) and require the post-holders to work flexible hours under the annualised scheme, with a willingness to work regular evening and weekends. Please be aware that the post holder will be required to work 17.00 – 20.00 on Friday evenings.
The post-holder will be expected to attend library training events.
