We are seeking an excellent academic to join our staff as an Assistant Lecturer in Adult and Community Education. The person appointed will be principally responsible for teaching and assessment across two modules on the Higher Diploma in Further Education (HDFE); Teaching practice (AD359) and Learning methodologies (AD353). They will also be expected to contribute to the strategic development of this Higher Diploma more broadly.

The appointee will be expected to build a strong research profile, that supports the University's research strategy including affiliating to the Research Institutes, where appropriate and working with colleagues on national and international research.

The successful candidate must be available for a full day each Tuesday during term-time. The remaining 1.5 days can be negotiated with the HDFE course coordinator.

Assistant Lecturer Salary Scale: €33,148 - €58,179 per annum (13 points)

Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.

*New entrants to the public sector will be appointed on the first point of the above scale.
