Lecturer in Business Administration/Management
The Faculty of Engineering & Science, Department of Applied Engineering & Management is a very special and exciting place to study. We offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across the Engineering disciplines (BEng, MEng, Bsc) and that of Business Management and Business Administration (BA, FDA) that are widely recognised for their academic quality, innovation and close ties to the industries in which our graduates work. We aim to ensure that we equip our graduates with the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace not only now, but also into the future. As such, we not only focus on the acquisition of technical knowledge, but also on transferable skills and professional practice.
One of our new programme streams is a Final Year Direct Entry Students from China into BA degree, which requires additional support. We are seeking to appoint one post at the Lecturer level. The successful candidate will take leading role in the delivery of teaching and provide after class-academic support to the students on a variety of subjects throughout their year of study. You will be based at Avery Hill and will have to commute to both Medway and Greenwich campuses.
We are looking for applicants with experience in any of the following five areas, although all outstanding candidates will be considered:
(1) Business Administration / Business Management subjects
(2) Business Development (BD)
(3) Digital Business
(5) Innovation / Research & Development (RD)
Experience of teaching in Higher Education sector is essential. Previous knowledge of Eastern/Chinese Culture and/or Mandarin Language would be considered as advantage. Evidencing or establishing research track record compatible with the University’s interests and/or establishing new projects in collaboration with Department/School colleagues would be desirable. Our research inspires and feeds directly into our teaching programmes, ensuring that all of our students benefit from exposure to the latest cutting-edge developments in research.
