The Center for the Physics of Biological Function (CPBF), a joint effort between The Graduate Center at CUNY and Princeton University, is continuing its effort to strengthen research and teaching at the interface of physics and biology. We are searching for Center Fellows, both theorists and experimentalists, to be based in Princeton. Fellows will join our highly interactive group, with interests ranging from the dynamics of single molecules to neural computation, and from biochemical and genetic networks to collective behavior in populations.

Fellows must have recently completed their PhDs in a relevant field, will be appointed as Associate Research Scholars at Princeton University, and will have opportunities to collaborate closely with colleagues at CUNY. Appointments are for one year, with the expectation of reappointment pending satisfactory performance and continued funding, up to a total of three years. We expect new Fellows to join us for the Fall semester of 2019; start dates as early as February 2019 are possible. For full consideration, all application materials should be received by October 6, 2018. This position is subject to the University's background check policy.

Interviews will take place as part of several symposia including candidates for different searches. Please reserve the dates of October 10-11th and November 19-20th as potential dates for the symposium in case you are selected for an interview.

Applicants must apply online at and submit a cover letter, CV including publications, and contact information for three references.
