Research Associate/Senior Research Assistant in the Division of Breast Surgery of the Department of Surgery (Ref.: 201801231) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Master degree or above in cancer genetics, biology, or social work (medical). Experience in patient counselling, especially in cancer/genetics counselling, would be a great advantage. Those with research knowledge and experience in psycho-oncology and cancer genetics are also preferred. The appointee is expected to conduct research independently. Duties include, but are not limited to, conducting more than one research projects with the Breast Research team; providing patient counselling in cancer genetics and related services (with training and supervision); commissioning and managing research project and grants; delivering presentations at conferences; and supervising junior staff. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefit. The appointment on two-year fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
