The primary function of the Campus Planning & Design Coordinator is to lead design activities associated with the University’s Campus and buildings; these include but are not limited to new buildings or refurbishments of existing buildings and grounds.
The Planning and Development Unit is responsible for developing and updating the Universities Masterplan and long-term strategies for key issues such as teaching and learning infrastructure, transport and parking.
The Facilities Management Division supports the University’s students and employees through the delivery of assets and provision of services of outstanding learning, teaching, research and recreational spaces, which ensure a safe, sustainable and well-presented environment for all campus users to enjoy.
Under the broad direction of the Senior Manager, Planning & Development, the Campus Planning & Design Coordinator will independently relate existing policy, planning documents and design standards to work assignments, to solve problems, adapt procedures to fit policy prescriptions or use theoretical principles in modifying and adapting techniques. This may involve working independently or the supervision of others in order to achieve objectives and contribute to the Division’s strategic objectives.
