The School of Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Engineering Mathematics (SCEEM) at the University of Bristol is seeking motivated individuals to support its teaching and student supervision in the area of Robotics and Autonomous Systems. Appointments will be offered in either the Departments of Engineering Mathematics or Computer Science, depending on the candidates’ experience. Up to 2 FTE positions are being offered, which may be taken either full or part time. Candidates would be expected to be able to start ahead of the academic year 2018-19.
Successful candidates will be expected to have a passion for education and student engagement within a research-intensive environment. These appointments represent part of a strategic investment in Robotics and Autonomous Systems, an area identified as important for the future of the University of Bristol, a large part of which activity is also undertaken jointly with the University of the West of England in the unique Bristol Robotics Lab facility. It is expected that multiple permanent academic positions will be advertised in due course.
