Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow in Cardiology at Aston Medical Research Institute, Aston Medical School and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. The successful candidate will be involved in clinical research relating to cardiac resynchronisation therapy, electrophysiology and cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging. The successful candidate will be expected to work towards an MD or PhD thesis. Proficiency in clinical cardiology is essential, as is desire to undertake clinical cardiology. Full up to date registration with the GMC and valid visa status are required. 

The Electrophysiology and Cardiac Devices Research Group forms part of Aston Medical Research Institute and has an extensive track record of research in the field of cardiac device therapy. The clinical component of research will be based at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham and the postholder will be based at the this hospital for the majority of their time, but will be employed by Aston. The Department of Cardiology consists of 24 cardiologists, including 4 electrophysiologists and 4 device implanters. There are 4 cardiac catheter laboratories and state-of-the art imaging facilities.
