Senior Administrative Assistant, Legatum Center
Legatum Center, to support the executive director and Legatum Center program leads in their respective areas.
Will provide the team with overall office support, including purchasing, financial monitoring, and direct support to executive director with an overall emphasis on event and communication support; and act as a representative of the center, interfacing with students to support their efforts in entrepreneurship in developing countries. Day-to-day activities will include calendar scheduling, assistance with the preparation of program-related materials, providing support for meetings and events (e.g., ordering food, AV support, materials, conference line, etc.), researching and booking travel, liaising with outside organizations to finalize itineraries, processing receipts and creating reports, and helping to maintain databases and other materials associated with programs.
Will also assist with preparing materials for classes, workshops, and other student-facing activities, including creating PowerPoint slides, writing and editing content for website and students, and organizing class-related materials.
REQUIRED: at least five years of administrative experience; excellent writing, oral communication, and organizational skills; three years of events management experience; strong PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel skills and ability to quickly learn other software products; strong customer service skills; meticulous attention to detail; good judgment and discretion; and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Seek self-motivated and self-directed individual who demonstrates good decision-making skills and can prioritize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. A B.A./B.S. and familiarity with MIT are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the center’s mission.
This is a one-year term position with possibility of renewal.
