Post-doctoral Fellow in Department of Microbiology

Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Microbiology, to commence as soon as possible for three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
This post is created specifically to bring new impetus and vigour to the University’s research enterprise, and to meet strategic research needs identified by the Department of Microbiology.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree, with extensive research experience in immunology, virology, cellular and molecular biology. They should be self-motivated, be able to work independently as well as in a team, and have good communication skills in English. The appointee will work in the research areas on virus host interaction.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
