Our BA (Hons) Illustration course has a strong national reputation and celebrates award-winning students and alumni each year. We are one of the largest providers of degree level education in Illustration in the country and equip our students for a diverse range of careers in the creative industries. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Course Leader with the vision and experience to continue developing a high quality student experience that maximizes the career potential of our graduates.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual with a future-focused approach and a sound understanding of contemporary illustration practices. You will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the changing nature of the illustration profession and have the vision to shape the curriculum to ensure students are prepared for their future careers. Our key success measures for this post will be excellent NSS results and strong employability outcomes for students.

The successful candidate will have experience of leadership in Higher Education and delivering a high quality student experience. You will have a background of working professionally in the field of illustration and be able to demonstrate innovation in developing industry partnerships and equipping students for employment in their future careers. Excellent team leadership; inter-personal, administrative, managerial and organisational skills are essential. Expertise in digital design and/or an enquiry-based approach to illustration would be advantageous.
