Senior Teaching Associate - School of Earth Sciences
The University of Bristol, School of Earth Sciences, is seeking to recruit a full time Senior Teaching Associate to a fixed 1-year cover post in the area of Geochemistry. We are looking for an energetic and committed individual with an up-to-date knowledge of current topics and methods (applied, environmental and/or analytical) to assist in the delivery of our Environmental Geoscience and Geology undergraduate programmes for one year, following the retirement of a senior colleague. You will modify, develop and deliver lectures and laboratory sessions, support field trips, coordinate small group tutorials, and provide formative and summative assessments. Central to these roles is engagement with students to support their academic progress. You will also be expected to develop your teaching skills and materials, and be willing to innovate and undertake training as required.
You will have an undergraduate degree and a PhD (or some professional equivalent) in Earth Sciences, Chemistry or a related subject.
It is anticipated that the interview will be held on Monday 3 September 2018.
