Research technologist position is available to carry out research on retinal disease processes with a focus on diabetic retinopathy (one of the major causes of blindness in the U.S.).
The researcher will conduct a combination of studies, including management and investigations of mouse models of retinal vascular disease and diabetic retinopathy as well as analysis of retinal tissue specimens from mice. This will include studies of treatment strategies for diabetic retinopathy using mouse models and basic molecular biology (immunohistochemistry and quantitative real-time PCR).
BS or BA in Biology or related Science major, and some related experience. Some related post-undergraduate work experience preferred.
Starting Salary Range: $13.73-$19.00; commensurate with experience
