Senior Teaching Associate, Engines Laboratory
This is a great opportunity to take a key teaching role chiefly related to the theory and operation of internal combustion engines. Line managed by the Unit Director of Thermodynamics/ Thermofluids course, the post will sit in the department of Mechanical Engineering but supports teaching to undergraduate students throughout the School of Civil, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, enrolled on courses in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mathematics and Engineering Design. The primary function of the post is to deliver and support teaching related to machines in our purpose designed Propulsion Teaching Laboratory as well as supporting teaching activities in the general areas of Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics. The post would suit either (1) a recent Ph.D. qualified engineering researcher wishing to develop further expertise in undergraduate teaching (2) an engineering graduate who has previously taught engines technology in Further Education or Higher Education.
This post is offered on a full time, fixed term contract until August 2019
