Job Description

The Boston University PA Program is seeking a full time physician assistant faculty member to join our team. Responsibilities include teaching, research, clinical practice, mentoring PA students and administrative duties. Teaching responsibilities include directing one course per year and teaching students during the physical exam and clinical practica.

Additionally, this individual will support the modification, implementation and ongoing assessment of the didactic phase. Research and clinical interests may vary and will be supported with protected time. Administrative duties include participation in various program and university committees. Additional service outside the university is encouraged.

Required Skills

Successful candidates will hold at least a master’s degree and have two years of clinical experience as a physician assistant. This individual must be NCCPA certified and eligible for licensure in the State of Massachusetts. Preference will be given to those candidates with surgical/procedural experience. Two years experience educating PA or medical students either as a clinical preceptor or as a faculty member is preferred. A documented record of academic leadership and the ability to mentor graduate students is preferred.
