IEU Research Software Developer
We are seeking a talented software developer to work on the MR-Base platform (www.mrbase.org). MR-Base is a widely-used research software platform and database that enables analysis of the causal effects of risk factors on disease.
The successful candidate will join the world-leading MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit (www.bris.ac.uk/ieu) and the CRUK-funded Integrative Cancer Epidemiology Programme and work with academic and industry researchers to redesign and develop core components of the platform.
The postholder will be embedded in a population health research environment, and encouraged to engage with a wide range of people, including academic researchers, clinicians and pharmaceutical industry scientists.
Who we are looking for: You will have expertise in web application development using well-established technologies (eg Python/Django), experience developing application programming interfaces (APIs) and experience working with databases. Knowledge of Elasticsearch and the R programming language would be an advantage, as would an understanding of User Experience Design.
