General Catering Assistant
Residential and Hospitality Services have a number of part time General Catering Assistant posts within its multisite, high volume catering operation. We have positions available for between 15 and 20 hours per week. The hours of work are early mornings, evenings and/or weekends, dependent upon business requirements.
The posts will operate a five days out of seven working pattern, in line with terms and conditions. These vacancies are term time only, 34 weeks per annum
Main duties will be to provide the food and beverage service within the Halls of Residence, ensuring that all operational service areas are operated in accordance with departmental service standards. Our aim is to give excellent customer service and serve quality food made from ethically and locally sourced produce to all our customers and clients.
You should have basic numeracy and literacy skills as well as good organisational and communication skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines. A good understanding of customer service and a pleasant and welcoming manner is essential. It is desirable if you have prior experience of catering work in a large commercial food operation, however we do offer on the job training.
