Hours: 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year: Some planned evening and early morning work as part of the 36 hour working week
Annual Leave: 30 days per annum

About Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) at St Mary’s university
The TEL team provide technical and pedagogical support for learning, teaching and assessment applications across St Mary’s university. They support staff and students alike with technical and administrative queries. The team gives tailored workshops for individual staff members, programme teams, administrators, professional services departments. They also facilitate structured workshops for students to meet a specific learning outcome associated with an assessment.
Services run by the team include Moodle VLE, MyPortfolio for e-portfolios, Turnitin for plagiarism detection and MyMedia multimedia suite. In 2018-19 the team will be leading introduction of lecture capture service and enhanced support for blended learning programmes.
About the post
This role has responsibility for the leadership and management Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) services and academic support. The role leads the TEL support team (2 x learning technologists, 1 x instructional designer) and works in collaboration with staff across the university to proactively planni for future TEL needs of staff and students, identifying and prioritising possible areas of development. The role holder will be a member of the CIO leadership team and will work closely with the other teams in the CIO area to ensure effective delivery of support.
