Swinburne University of Technology is now seeking candidates for the inaugural role of Pro Vice-Chancellor (PVC) (Research Performance & Strategy) to provide strategic advice and support strategies for research performance and improvement.
As a member of the Swinburne Research Executive Group the PVC will provide academic leadership through advancing research performance and research quality, facilitating further research development and measuring research impact. Working across the breadth of the university, with research centres, institutes and faculties, the PVC will create and lead the implementation of research strategies, and support current initiatives such as the Swinburne Research and Impact Strategy.
Candidates should have an outstanding track record of research within a discipline of relevance to the University. Fellows of national learned academies and academics whose research has been international recognised for its high quality and/or HiCi status are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants should have proven experience of leading and managing research within a university or research organisation including a strong track record of supervision of HDR students. Working with colleagues to create forward thinking strategies and evidence of reporting on deliverables would be an advantage.
