Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Genetics/Epigenetics
The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences seeks to strategically develop its world-leading profile of teaching and research excellence by the appointment of leading academics across the core disciplines of Sport and Exercise Sciences. You will be expected to develop and deliver research-informed/led teaching in genetics and epigenetics across relevant undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.
The relevance of epigenetics to sporting adaptation is in its infancy and this post provides an opportunity to challenge, extend and enhance the application of this area within sport and exercise science. The emphasis of this post is to enhance our genetics and epigenetics focus, extend our world-leading research, impact and student competency within these disciplines.
You will also be expected to demonstrate an ability to support other applied sport and exercise science disciplines (inc., physiology, sport nutrition, strength and conditioning) and support the creation and subsequent supervision of project students and applied placements within the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences. You will also be expected to contribute to the delivery of relevant research methods and the supervision/tutorial support of students in the School
