Job description

The Centre for Public Health sits within the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences at Queen's University Belfast.  The research centre is committed to high quality research aimed at improving public health, and comprises of over 30 academic researchers. 

The Research Assistant will assist in the completion of a comprehensive statistical analysis of the different 'routes-to-diagnosis' of cancer patients in Northern Ireland according to an existing analysis plan. The successful candidate will assist in the writing a user-friendly Standard Operating Procedure to maximise knowledge transfer to allow subsequent routine production of statistics by analysts in the health service.They will also design an interactive user-friendly online platform to present statistical estimates in the following categories: demographic, disease and service-related factors, and geographical areas
