Administrative Officer, Finance Transformation Project
This post is Fixed Term (18 months) and Full Time.
The University is delivering a 10-year strategy 2017-2027, based on a vision to be world-leading in research and engagement, education and the wider student experience. To help us achieve these goals at a time of significant change and increased competition across the Higher Education sector we need to make improvements to our management systems in areas such as Finance.
We are seeking to appoint an Administrative Officer to be part of the team that will shape the future of finance across Durham University. We are embarking on a package of work to deliver Finance Transformation, with preparations being made for the implementation of Oracle Fusion in 2020. Oracle Fusion is a user-friendly integrated IT platform that enables functions, such as Finance and HR, to not only share data and information efficiently, but also to improve the effectiveness of decision-making.
Consideration is also being made as to how we might choose and implement new reporting tools which will improve the quality, timeliness and availability of financial and other information. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the finance transformation work and will report to the finance transformation Project Manager.
