Applications are invited for appointment as Administrative Assistant I/II (AAI/II) in the Faculty of Engineering, to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis and with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should have a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years’ experience at supervisory level, preferably in higher education or a related sector. He/She should be versatile in general office administration, project management, marketing and networking, and preferably be familiar with contemporary trends of higher education in Hong Kong; and should have an excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua), good organizational skill, problem-solving skill, communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently with initiative, as well as computer literacy. The appointee is responsible for a wide range of administrative duties, with a focus on renovation project management, development and networking, publicity, event management, fund raising, alumni relationship, knowledge exchange, accommodation-related work, and any other duties as assigned. He/She is also required to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, assist in the development and implementation of strategic plan and policies, and to serve Faculty committees. The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for AAI and 10% of basic salary for AAII.
